Who we are
Sovilt Ventures Solution (“we”) is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Contact: info@svs.co.ke, P.O Box 279-00200, Nairobi, Kenya.
What we collect
- Applications: your name, National ID number, phone and M-PESA numbers, email, date of birth, occupation, income, address, details and photos of collateral, and your guarantors' names, ID numbers, phone numbers, relationships and photos.
- Messages: what you send through the contact form.
- Technical data: IP address and browser type, used for security and fraud prevention.
Why we use it
To assess and process your application, verify identity, decide on credit, disburse and collect payments, communicate with you, prevent fraud and meet legal obligations. Our lawful bases are your consent, performance of a contract and compliance with the law.
Who we share it with
Licensed Credit Reference Bureaus (where you authorise it), payment providers such as Safaricom M-PESA, regulators and law enforcement where the law requires, and service providers that host or support our systems under confidentiality obligations. We do not sell personal data.
Guarantors
If you name a guarantor you confirm they know you are sharing their details with us. They have the same rights described below.
How we protect it
ID numbers are encrypted in our database. Photos are re-processed to remove hidden metadata, stored outside the public web folder and available only to signed-in staff. Staff accounts are protected by strong passwords, optional two-factor authentication and an audit trail. Connections to this site are encrypted.
How long we keep it
Application data is kept for as long as needed to manage your loan and meet legal and regulatory record-keeping requirements. Messages are kept for up to 24 months.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, 2019 you may ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to or restrict processing, and withdraw consent. Email info@svs.co.ke. You can also complain to the Office of the Data Protection Commissioner (odpc.go.ke).
Cookies
This site uses only a strictly necessary security cookie when you submit a form or sign in to the staff area. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
